Policy Statement

The Christ College (TCC) prohibits hazing and bullying as defined by this policy and will investigate and respond to all reports of hazing and bullying.

This policy applies to conduct that occurs on or off-campus, between two or more people who are affiliated with The College or an organization associated with The College. Any student who participates in hazing or bullying is subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal, pursuant to the Code of Conduct, Title IX, or other applicable policies and procedures. Educational activities may be required as conditions of the sanction. An individual or organization may be subject to other outcomes in accordance with the applicable outside constituents or group in which the student is involved, or their governing bodies. The College has the right to take action regardless of the actions of the governing body. Violations of this policy are additionally subject to referral to appropriate law enforcement.

It is a violation of this policy for an administrator, staff, or faculty member to permit the hazing or bullying of any person. TCC employees who observe or otherwise become aware of either of these behaviors (1) must make a reasonable attempt to prevent it and (2) must immediately report the situation to the Dean of Student Affairs. Incidents involving an employee are reported to the employee's manager. When determining whether this paragraph has been violated, TCC will consider whether the employee knew or reasonably should have known of the hazing or bullying and failed to take appropriate action.
