Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to set forth the requirement to comply with applicable University policies and guidelines and State of Alabama law for the procurement of goods or services.
Policy
All procurements of goods or services must comply with Alabama Code Section 41-16 Article 2, Purchasing Guidelines, Board Rule 406, and Board Rule 415. All procurements of goods or services for $15,000 or more that are subject to Alabama Code Section 41-16 Article 2 must be approved by the Purchasing Department.
Scope
This policy applies to all University staff and faculty members seeking to procure goods or services from an external party that are subject to Alabama Code Section 41-16 Article 2.
